Team SKIJOR is made up of individuals who have proven their dedication to the sport as well as their ability to approach equine skijoring from, above all, a highly professional or business-level perspective. Each, in his or her unique way and through sheer dedication and determination, has raised the bar at their respective events with remarkable success.

As a result of their combined efforts, premier skijoring events have

• gained significant exposure and publicity on the internet and social media

• won major media attention on streaming platforms

• landed strong sponsorships and formed valuable B2B partnerships

• attracted a record number of spectators and competitors

• achieved prize pots and awards exceeding $30K

Athletes are being asked as never before to showcase their abilities and talents, and professional cowboys, cowgirls, skiers and snowboarders are making more frequent appearances at races to challenge seasoned skijorers who have competed in the sport for decades. We welcome the fusion of these groups and encourage more athletes to join their ranks.

The first annual SKIJOR Summit in Las Vegas was held on December 6th & 7th, 2023 to discuss and brainstorm the current state of equine skijoring and our future goals. Loren Zhimanskova, founder of Skijor International in 2012 and Skijor USA in 2018 organized the event. The next event will be held on December 4th through 7th, 2025 again in Las Vegas, Nevada.
